Business Development
Community Service
As a member of the Jaycees, you will have the opportunity to interact with other business professionals who are committed to enhancing the quality of life in our community. One of our goals is to help you make new professional contacts. Feel free to attend a meeting before you join, where each month we have a professional speaker help us learn new skills or expand our personal horizons. As well as being known for our donations to charitable organizations, the Appleton Area Jaycees implement numerous community service projects. The largest of these projects include the Egg Day Easter Egg Hunt, and the Christmas Shopping Tour. We are most well known for our Big Boom fireworks celebration for independence day. This fundraising event supplies us with the revenue to support our community.
Management Skills
Individual Training
Our community projects serve as a vehicle for hands-on learning. All the skills to plan, promote, and manage a Jaycee project are directly transferable to real-life situations. You have the opportunity to choose your level of involvement, whether you simply want to help out with specific projects, or choose to pursue a leadership position. The Appleton Area Jaycees is an organization that gives young people the tools they need to become successful members of our community. Individual development opportunities are provided during member activities, at our monthly membership meetings, and through the Wisconsin Jaycees State Conventions.
